Mainland lawyer fees

What a lawyer in China is allowed to charge

Lexfee puts each city's lawyer-fee rule on its own page, copied from the provincial document that applies there. A repealed table is labeled as repealed. Where the government has no current price, the page says so instead of inventing one.

English search results still circulate the old line that a Chinese lawyer may take 30 percent. The Ministry of Justice opinion published as 司发通〔2021〕87号 replaced that flat cap with a progressive one, and it told provincial bar associations not to write the fee schedule themselves.
